Russ has a gift for genuineness that comes across so beautifully in this collection of poetry. The poems are relatable and make the reader feel understood . And Isn't everyone looking to be understood ? Great work. Makes a wonderful gift and is a must have on every bookshelf, coffee table, or nightstand.
Instant connection! I have not yet completed Brunn's book of poetry; however, his words from the poems I have read thus far make me want to finish it. No, you won't get poems of his past trysts. Or poems of an egocentric nature. He delves into many aspects of life as we see it, they see it, and he sees it. Can't wait to finish!
If you truly are a fan of poetry you will love this book by Russ Brunn. I am normally not the biggest fan but in this book I can honestly get a sense of what type of person this guy is. His writing is very passionate, intuitive, sad, funny, happy spiritual and filled with love. What I enjoy about his writings is that his thoughts are very simple to understand but can be complex if you have know understanding about who you are and life. In fact through reading this book you may discover yourself. I suggest you take this sweet journey with these words to where ever it leads you.
